RRJ research notes several timing details that affect contact planning: regular family and friend video visits are Monday through Friday, at-home video visits run Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. Eastern, and visits must generally be scheduled 24 to 72 hours ahead. RRJ says inmates are not eligible for visitation during the first 72 hours while classification and housing placement occur. Bonding is available seven days a week, but RRJ checks VCIN/NCIC for detainers before release.

  • For someone believed to be in local or regional jail custody, start with jail inmate records and then contact RRJ if the roster does not answer the question.
  • For booking photographs tied to the RRJ roster or Virginia FOIA, use jail roster mugshots for the record-access limits.
  • For charges filed after a King George arrest, use court records after a jail arrest and Virginia's court case systems.
  • For facility-specific details, use the Rappahannock Regional Jail page linked in the footer.
  • For a sentenced Virginia prisoner or supervisee, use the Virginia Department of Corrections inmate and supervisee locator rather than the RRJ roster.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator, ICE Online Detainee Locator System, or Virginia VINELink notification portal as the situation requires.
